Did you know Alexander Hamilton was a founding father of Paterson? Pierre L’Enfant who was the engineer and architect for Washington D.C also helped with planning the city of Paterson.

It amazes me when people are shocked when I say I live in Paterson. I grew up seeing all sides of Paterson and it has wonderfully shaped and molded me to who I am today.

Paterson has a bad rep.

Okay yea, there was a drive by shooting recently that fired 2 dozen rounds - but to be honest that was drug related.
RANDOM mass shootings that happen for horrible racist reasoning scares me more.

Anywho I want to talk about the beauty of Paterson. The opposite of what outsiders know when they google this eclectic town.

Paterson has about 60 ethnic cultures , magically mixed living together.

Paterson has a large population of immigrants. Most of the kids I went to school with were first generation here.
Most of us came from very hard working families who strive to do better, and that is the change I see in our community.

Paterson is like a mini New York City.
We are actually only 30 minutes away from NYC depending on traffic.

You can find the best food spots in Peru Square, Little Colombia, to south Paterson for some real Halal foodz

I recently discovered an amazing Jamaican spot too!

I want to share my favorite places to eat at in my hood.

I am so grateful to travel the world and visit some of these places…but I am even more grateful for being able to have this food home…sometimes even delivered!
